Embark on an extraordinary experience!
Participate in a unique Sea Turtle Field Course in Costa Rica.
12-Day life-changing sea turtle field course & expedition
Our courses take place on breathtaking beaches within welcoming coastal communities along the North Pacific, North Atlantic, and South Pacific coasts of Costa Rica, a country renowned for its unique biodiversity.
Costa Rica: The Heart of Sea Turtle Conservation
Costa Rica has historically been regarded as one of the world’s leading destinations for sea turtle conservation, having served as a field of study for many distinguished researchers in this field. It is home of several species of sea turtles, making it an exceptional place to study these species and better understand their biology, behavior and conservation needs.
A Unique Expedition
During the 12-day sea turtle field course, you’ll conduct fieldwork with experts, learn about sea turtle biology, ecology, and conservation, and practice scientific techniques to collect and analyze data on nesting or foraging sea turtles. Rather than simply learning about sea turtles in a classroom, you’ll participate in the daily realities of field research.
Immersive Scientific Training
You will be trained in hands-on scientific techniques, working under the guidance of local project staff to study and document sea turtles in their natural habitat. This experience will give you practical research skills while contributing to real conservation efforts of these endangered species.
Immerse Yourself in Local Culture and Nature
Beyond conservation work, you’ll explore breathtaking landscapes, immerse yourself in local culture, and take part in a variety of exciting, life-changing experiences. These moments will broaden your perspective and create memories that last a lifetime.
